There is heavy predator pressure here, and Cloud is a fierce protector. Cloud is not without his gentle side. Agnes, my Merino ewe, has not warmed to the idea of including the pair of Babydoll Southdown lambs as part of the flock. Needing someone to be a mother figure and to satisfy their instinct to flock, the Babydolls have adopted Cloud. Llamas are a naturally skittish species that does not take well to being touched. Cloud, nevertheless, is very indulgent of these two lambs and happy to let both of them follow him around and snuggle up.
